The retreat will be led by Bishop Audrey Scanlan\, Diocesan Bishop of Central PA. The retreat is intended for women 21 years of age and older. \nWhen? April 25-27\, 2025: The program begins with dinner on Friday evening\, but feel free to arrive early (after 10 AM) to spend time on the property\, enjoying the beauty of creation and/or the serenity of All Saints Chapel. The program will include both plenary and small group sessions\, daily office in the chapel and ample free time for recreation and reflection. The program ends with Eucharist on Sunday morning. \nOvernight Lodging options: Onsite there is room for 8 women to share the two large bedrooms on the 2nd floor. DESCRIPTION:Becoming Beloved CommunityTuesdays 7-8:00pm EasternMay 20 – August 19This course on antiracism will lead participants through four pillars rooted in the Baptismal Covenant: Telling the Truth about the Church and Race; Proclaiming the Dream of Beloved Community; Practicing the Way of Love; Repairing the Breach in our Churches; and Repairing the Breach in Society and Institutions. The course is designed to provide future and current leaders of the church with the knowledge and background to combat the sin of racism as an integral component of our Christian formation\, particularly focusing on dismantling systemic racism within and outside of the institution of the Church.  \nThis course defines racism as the combination of racial prejudice\, racial discrimination\, and power and not the bad acts of misguided individuals. The Beloved Community is defined as one that seeks and promotes justice for the least among us.  \nThis 14-week course will be an online Zoom meeting\, hosted on Tuesday evenings 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
