Come and enjoy the natural setting of the Brookland Retreat Center and celebrate the joy of new life in the Easter story.  Connect with God’s creation\, with each other in this small group setting\, with our bishop\, and with your own soul’s yearning as we explore the meaning of the resurrection. \nWho? The retreat will be led by Bishop Audrey Scanlan\, Diocesan Bishop of Central PA. The retreat is intended for women 21 years of age and older. \nWhen? April 25-27\, 2025: The program begins with dinner on Friday evening\, but feel free to arrive early (after 10 AM) to spend time on the property\, enjoying the beauty of creation and/or the serenity of All Saints Chapel. The program will include both plenary and small group sessions\, daily office in the chapel and ample free time for recreation and reflection. The program ends with Eucharist on Sunday morning. \nOvernight Lodging options: Onsite there is room for 8 women to share the two large bedrooms on the 2nd floor. (Not accessible) If you wish for more privacy or accessibility\, you can select the Commuter option and book a room at one of the local bed and breakfasts. (Contact info below) Those staying onsite are asked to bring your own bed and bath linens. \nMeals? Meals (Lunch and Dinner) at Brookland Retreat Center are prepared and cleaned up as a communal effort. Breakfast is on your own.  Each retreatant will be asked to contribute to our noonday and evening meals by signing up on a detailed menu plan that will be issued two weeks before the retreat begins. Hauff\, the Presiding Bishop’s Missioner for Indigenous Ministries collaborating with our own The Rev. Jody Barthle to lead us in our time of prayer and study. The Rev. Barthle (Transfiguration\, Blue Ridge Summit and Calvary Chapel\, Beartown) is an indigenous minister and a member of the Chickahominy tribe. Jody grew up in Providence Forge beside the Chickahominy River in Virginia. The Rev. Hauff has served congregations in Pennsylvania\, Florida\, Minnesota\, South Dakota and Texas.
